Conservation

History is present in our built environment and is a valuable asset to society.  Working in Heritage develops an appreciation for the craftsmanship and an understanding of the contribution the past and present will have on the future.

Historical restoration is a demanding exercise to ensure details, materials and dimensions remain exact throughout the building.  The firm has extensive experience in current techniques for restoring masonry and wooden structures.  Graeme Duffus has been a long time member of the Association for Preservation Technology (APT) & the Canadian Association  of Heritage Professionals (CAHP), which offer continuing education through conferences, workshops & seminars.  G.F. Duffus & Co. Ltd is proud of its commissions and accomplishments in the field of conservation.
