Davidson Kennedy PropertyWallace, Nova Scotia. (c.1840)
This property is composed of an early 19th century house and five outbuildings. The Nova Scotia Museum was working with a community museum committee and wanted a report to serve as a guide to planning future restoration and renovation projects. Based on a proposal call by the Nova Scotia Department of Government Services, G.F. Duffus & Co. Ltd was awarded the contract to document the condition of the existing condition of the buildings and then to make recommendations regarding their conservation. Secondary objectives were to interpret and comment on the most likely chronological development of the site and its structure and consider procedures that may be appropriate for the recording of future acquisitions.
