Lincoln Street ResidenceLunenburg, Nova Scotia. (1890)
Located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Town Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, this Lincoln Street home proudly overlooks Lunenburg harbour. The home owners sought to develop the attic space by adding two new dormers to the front facade of the home along with two narrow windows on the second floor, plus a new front entry stair, and at the rear, a new covered veranda. The plans passed Lunenburg's strict heritage by laws, and the work was completed in early 2010. This home is a fine example of how modern renovations can be kept sympathetic to the original heritage of the structure and surrounding residences.
