Preservation and Planning

The conservation of existing buildings to ensure their longevity depends on a program of maintenance and preservation.  We being with a thorough evaluation combined with research and recording the "as found" condition.  Often there are no record drawings of the resource to use as base material for this work, and thus, if required, we would create drawings for future work.   Depending on the scope of the work we direct our report to the needs of the client group.

Working with private clients, church committees, the Heritage Unit and various levels of Government organizations, the firm has prepared numerous conservation plans for historic buildings.  Each conservation plan is a complete report encompassing a drawn record of the existing condition, an evaluation of the problems, a definition of the causes, and a program of solutions and priorities for the work.
